Zen Master Shi Wule: born in Huanggang, Hubei Province, in 1948, he was born in Jincheng, Shanxi Province, in the midst of war. His father was the general of the Fourth Front Army of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army who had walked the Long March.
In 1961, he met his fundamental master in Wuhan, who taught him to practice meditation by "serving the people". Since then, I have followed the teacher for decades. And gradually found the key to happiness and success in the meditation of "serving the people".
In 1975, he graduated from Wuhan Conservatory of Music, majoring in violin.
1975~1989 Follow the teacher's arrangement to become a teacher, engage in politics, do business and study everywhere. The meditation of "serving the people" opened the door to harvest at every step of his life.
His father died in 1989. He followed the guru to Aba, Sichuan, where he shaved and received the Tibetan Vajra Ring.
His mother died in 1996 and he is now a monk. After becoming a monk, his accomplishments were recognized by a group of eminent monks and great virtues. He was the 45th generation descendant of Linji Sect, the late Buddhist leader, the 44th generation master of Linji Sect, and the closed disciple of Great Monk Jinghui, vice president of the Chinese Buddhist Association. Great Monk Jinghui came to the Tiantai to preach the Dharma, gave Dharma scrolls, dusts, ancestral clothes, and two dharma verses: (1) Realizing the truth of the agreement is like not asking about Zen, and being happy in heaven and life. The six degrees of Bodhisattva are often used to make people happy. （2） High standard purpose Wanfengtou, a school of wind and turbidity. To know that there is no external meaning of stringed lute, and the vast sea of people are driving a benevolent boat; He was also a close disciple of Patriarch Hongyi, a hundred year old eminent monk, Master Guangxuan, who was the 42nd generation successor of Linji Heyun Sect. In 2009, Master Guangxuan gave Wule Abbot the five treasures of Faguan, Longzhang, Ruyi, Fuchen and Xizhang as evidence, named the art troupe "Guangxuan" and designed a league emblem, personally instructed Wule Abbot to glorify music in Buddhism, and emphasized that this mission should be passed on to Wule; The 15th Xianggen Living Buddha was also a great achievement of Zen Buddhism in Tibet.
In 1997, he became the abbot of Taiping Temple in Hong'an. At that time, the tide centered on economic construction swept every corner of China. He put forward the idea of "true virtue, and becoming a Buddha with virtue", put forward the idea of building a temple with culture, and began to explore and practice the three Zen cultures of "Zen music, Zen tea, and Zen forest". Respectively serve the society from the moral field and the cultural field, which are two areas in urgent need of construction in contemporary society.
In 2003, he was invited to Tiantai Mountain in Hong'an by Hong'an County Party Committee and Government.
In 2004, Tiantai Temple, which has a 1400 year history, was restored and rebuilt. The temple was built by real practice and culture; Continue the practice of "true virtue, and become a Buddha with virtue" and create a Tiantai three Zen culture of "Zen music, Zen tea, and Zen forest"; In the same year, he was favored by the provincial leaders, but declined the cultivation of the leaders to train him to succeed the chairman of the provincial Buddhist Association. He was determined to devote himself to Buddhist education and training monks to revitalize Buddhism.
In 2006, the art class of Wuchang Buddhist Academy was established.
In 2007, the leading Buddhist monk Jinghui, who was then the vice-chairman of the Chinese Buddhist Association, personally celebrated the main Dharma ceremony for the inauguration of the Buddha statue in the main hall, and personally passed on the ancestral clothes, dusts and dharma scrolls. He publicly recognized him as a closed door disciple and gave the Dharma saying: "The purpose of the high standard is to be the head of ten thousand peaks, which is a school of cool wind and turbid current. He learned that there is no external meaning of the stringed instrument, and the vast sea of people are driving compassionate boats"; In the same year, the rich businessman from Singapore who was brought by the government fell in love with him and refused the other party's plan to turn him into a world monk, because this plan changed the essence of spiritual practice.
In 2008, Guangxuan Art Troupe was established in Tiantai Temple of Hong'an.
In 2009, at the International Pharmacist Law Conference held in Puzhao Buddhist Temple in Fujian, Master Guang Xuan, a 100 year old monk, an international Buddhist leader, and the only living disciple of Patriarch Hongyi at that time, publicly gave him the five treasures of Dharma Crown, Ruyi, Dust Sweeping, Dragon Stick, and Tin Stick as evidence, named the art troupe "Guang Xuan" and designed the troupe emblem in person, and personally instructed him to inherit the wishes of Patriarch Hongyi and glorify music in Buddhism.
In 2013, he overcame all obstacles, resigned from the position of abbot of Tiantai Temple and all social part-time jobs, set up the Tiantai Temple permanent plenary meeting as the highest authority in the temple, and handed over all power to the monks. He was only responsible for practicing and preaching the law, without any administrative power, so as to return to the great idea of Buddha's life and inherit Six Harmonies. In the same year, he handed over the mobile phone to the disciple to help him take care of it. He took the lead to strictly adhere to the mobile phone precept. All external contacts were made through the public mobile phone in the disciple's hands; In addition, the personal account and red envelope implemented earlier are jointly managed by the waiter (more than two persons); Put everything under the supervision of the Sangha.
In 2014, two standing members of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee at the time when the project was approved by the Education Department of Hubei Province and reported to the Propaganda Department of the CPC Central Committee, the United Front Work Department and the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China agreed to establish a "Tiantai Temple Buddhist Music Academy" in Tiantai Temple in Hong'an.
In 2015, Jinghui Symphony Orchestra, Dawn Chorus and Xianggen Dance Troupe were established for all monks. And launch a global tour.
In 2019, in order to respond to the call of the country's "the Belt and Road" opening policy, carry forward the traditional Chinese culture overseas, and realize the pursuit of "serving the country through cultivation", he traveled thousands of miles to Madagascar, an African island country, to prepare for the construction of the Mazu Temple in Madagascar, where many young monks volunteered to follow.
